Concerning the Name Lutheran, Part 1()
This is Part One of an essay entitled "Concerning the Name Lutheran," written and first published on September 1, 1844, by the Missouri Synod's first president, C.F.W. Walther.
This essay addresses the question about whether or not those who subscribe to the Book of Concord should call themselves Lutherans or should just be referred to as Christians.
The essay was originally translated in 1989 and then revised and published by Rev. Mark Nispel. A Printed edition can be found at the time of this audio version at http://www.reclaimingwalther.org/articles/concerninglutheran.htm
The translated essay is read by Rev. Joel A. Brondos.
